A creative suburban villa among the trunks of old pine trees. The location is in a legendary forest villa district on the outskirts of Prague. Thirteen large pine trees (Pinus sylvestris) are randomly distributed on the longitudinal plot, and their preservation significantly influences the design. The central element of the concept is a "colonnade" - a horizontal concrete/stone slab on wooden columns, running through the entire plot as an imaginary axis. This covered promenade, passing trees on both sides, is not just a communication path connecting three annexes/wings, but it is itself a living space into which more intimate side spaces open. Under it, at the entrance, there is a large dining room, which will be open to the garden for most of the year, a central hall, a library with a fireplace by the living room, and finally a study. This entire element thematizes the journey through the plot, with alternating views opening on both sides. The bold horizontality of the concrete/stone slab supported by wooden columns balances the verticality of the pine trunks of the surrounding forest. The lowered height of the sliding glass walls (about 2m) enhances the views.
