Studio

znameniiii - architects / Juraj Matula, Richard Sidej, Martin Tycar
is a studio for architecture, urban planning, interiors and design, founded by three partners in 1999.

"Over the past 20 years, we have designed and realized works in diverse fields, from architecture to furniture design. Diversity – the result of a clear decision, rather than
luck or chance – is driven by our belief that experience with different themes greatly contributes to the quality of our work. In architecture, as in any other craft,
broadening your horizons is an essential part of the lifelong learning process. We do not differentiate between a chair project and a building project, in the sense that
the dedication to each of the assignments is the same, as is the work process behind them, including sketches, models, prototypes, workshop models and detailed
supervision of the implementation works.”

If technically our projects are the result of an equation combining program, location, legislation, budget and deadline, we draw the necessary inspiration from the client to

- in a symbolic, no less important dimension - imprint the identity of the project, whether it is a house, administration, hotel or apartment interior. We believe that
excellence in design is the result of combined skill and effort. By working as a team from the start of a project, we combine our knowledge, supported by the latest advances
in building technology, to ensure the best solutions are achieved and all client requirements are met. We process all parts of the project documentation in 3D BIM Revit.
One of our projects – the Science and Research Center of Charles University in Prague – was selected as a pilot project by the Ministry for the application of 3D BIM
in public administration.

Archdaily: Chalet in Krkonoše

The aim was not only a creation of quality concept from an architectural point of view, but also for it to be a part of natural environment and help to shape genius loci in a positive way. Despite the primary impulse of the client to visually implement, technologically and typologically contemporary object, it was impossible to ignore strong vernacular element identical with the surrounding quality buildings forming typical character of local architecture of Krkonoše mountains. This element acts as a local identification symbol, which is a value created over the long historical development of Krkonoše mountain.
